A Seattle couple is suing after hospital staff in Oregon told them to drive the body of their nearly 9-month-old son four hours home in their private car following his sudden death in an emergency room. Aleksandr and Nataliya Yeremeyev filed a $10 million lawsuit against Salem Health and Dr. Stefani Sorensen. The parents had allegedly sought respectful and dignified care and transportation of the remains of their son, Michael, but the lawsuit alleges staff insisted they bring the body back home with them. Michael was born with Down syndrome and spent the first six months of his life at Seattle Children's Hospital . "His parents had made sure that he had received really excellent care. President Donald Trump 's ban on CNN, MS NOW and Politico suffered a setback Thursday after a federal judge ordered the administration to restore White House access to the outlets. U.S. District Judge Timothy Kelly issued a temporary restraining order on Thursday blocking the ban on the outlets, ruling that their access to the White House must be reinstated while the outlets continue their legal battle, Reuters reported. A Tennessee man who was arrested in a pre-dawn raid after he filmed and criticized a police officer sued the police department alleging it violated his First Amendment right to free expression. The civil lawsuit against the city of Kingsport, its police chief and its officers was filed by the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE) in 2023 on behalf of Joshua Gibbons, but he is only now making the complaint public after he was successful in having his conviction overturned and the remaining charge dismissed by the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals. Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier alleged that a teacher harassed and attempted to "cancel" an eighth-grade student and labeled him a "misogynist" over what Uthmeier described as the student's conservative political views. Uthmeier sent a letter to Sarasota County Schools' Superintendent Terry Connor and the school board over allegations that a Pine View School history teacher, Liz Ballard, singled out the eighth grade student on multiple occasions over his political views. Ballard often brings up political topics during class despite the student telling her that his parents "expressly forbid" him from participating in the political discussions , according to the letter. A Texas man has been arrested and charged with capital murder in connection with a roadway shooting that killed a 5-year-old girl over the weekend, authorities said.
